Nav Screen/Back up Camera Quit Working

Nav Screen/Back up Camera Quit Working
My wife has been driving our C300 for the last month. We bought a new car and I wanted to break that one in for awhile.
She told me the Nav screen was black and the only thing she could get was the climate info screen. No back up camera, phone, nothing.
I verified this and tried resetting it by pressing the CD eject button for 10 seconds. All that did was turn off the climate display.
After 10 minutes of screwing with the system (pressing all the buttons) I decided to press the call Mercedes button...the one with the wrench. The phone started ringing and then all of a sudden the Nav screen came back on and everything was working again. I terminated the call and all is well.
Now I'm wondering WHY. Any ideas?

I hate to ask this, but did she accidentally hit the COMAND power button. That will kill everything but HVAC on the display. It's possible using MBRACE for a breakdown call overrides the power button.

Amazing, when you don't use one manufacturers navigation system for some time, how soon we forget. My brain must have been cluttered with our new Acura's system.

Sure thing. I learned that lesson the hard way. I was buying a CPO 221 S Class coming from a 220 and I raised holy hell at the dealership because COMAND was dead. Guy just reached over me and pressed the On button.

This happen to me; the Comand Screen all of the sudden went dark but everything else appeared to be working; ie radio, blue tooth. Tried turning off and on the Comand button, turning off and restarted the car; the screen stayed dark for my half hour ride home. The screen came back to life after I let the C fully reset; ie. turned off engine, locked the doors and wait till all the delayed lights to go off. Anyone else experienced this on their C?
