I got my C450 a week ago and so far I'm really happy with it. Just a couple of minor questions to other owners:

1) I noticed that the engine temperature gauge is over the middle when the car is warmed up, does your C450 have it the same way? On all my previous cars it was right in the center or just below, so I'm wondering if this is normal for this model.





2) Several times already, when I get out of the car, close the door and touch the lock "button" on the handle, nothing is happening. Got the key out, pressed the lock button - nothing. Checked the doors - all closed tightly. Opened the door, closed it back - now it's working. Am I doing something wrong or is it some software glitch?

3) Another door thing. On my car, I have to slam the doors pretty hard in order to close it properly, how's the doors on your C? Is it adjustable?

1...My temp is the same as yours
2...don't know why that happened unless you hit the lock botton fast twice, it disables your fob till you hit another button to start it transmitting again
3. Doors do need a good push to close but I wouldn't say a hard slam.. You can always try to adjust the latch on the car.. The silver u shaped things that latch the door, loosen the 2 hex bolts and move the latch up down in or out.. Had to do that to one of my doors cause it wasn't closing as easy as the other 3.. Just use a sharpie to mark were they were originally so you know how much you are moving them

Temp is the same as my 300 which is normal. Door's rubber seals take a while to break in to be able shut without having to slam them.

If your Keyless Go functions turn out to be intermittent, there is a software patch available. It may have been an isolated glitch, but if you find you are getting locked out of the car because the door handles won't respond to your touch, it may be time to ask your dealer about that patch.

Thanks for the replies, guys, good info. I guess I'll wait for a month or two before adjusting the door, hopefully it'll break in.
Stan, really the only thing that I noticed related to the keyless functions is the door lock when getting out of the car, the rest has been working fine. The car was build this month, so I would assume it includes all the latest bug fixes and updates, hopefully it's just a user error like double-touch of the button, once when pushing the door and then when trying to lock.
