[SOLVED] Cannot turn car off with keyless go
[SOLVED] Cannot turn car off with keyless go
So I just got my brand new c200 a few hours ago from the dealership, drove it back home and everything was fine except Eco stop mode not working (kept getting an amber sign on the dash) but that's actually a blessing because I find it annoying.
So later today I take it for another spin and when parking I put it in P and press the keyless go button like I did last time, the engine turns off but none of the electronics..
The only way I could get the car to shut off completely was to remove the keyless module and insert the key, turn the car back on then turn it all the way off.
Have I done something wrong or is it already time to take it to the dealership so they can fix it?
Thanks!

Also for Eco stop start it shows as like a round arrow or something and it's only active when you get a square lit up.
Mines a auto and you have to be fully stopped for it to cut in with either your foot on the break, handbrake on or in the auto hold mode.
Oh and RTFM

All normal. Eco stop start has many variables, RTFM time.
Keyless to cars do not turn off unless the door is opened/car is locked/you leave equipment on for a long period and it turns everything off after a period of time.

Are you sure about electronics staying on till you open the doors? To be honest I didn't try opening the door since I was used to the whole car shutting off with keyless in my Infiniti. Will give it a go tomorrow.
I know lights stay on, but this was like switching the ignition key back halfway so radio, dash and everything was still functional after pressing the keyless off button. I can't imagine this is intended functionality.

That is the intended functionality. My Volvo worked the same way...radio, etc stays on until you open the door.

That's the way it works. As soon as you open a door, everything shuts down.

I don´t have keyless-go but keyless start and there the radio shuts off only when I open the door. Actually you can sit in your car and still talking on the phone with your bluetooth.Don´t open the door it will shut your bluetooth.
The whole electronics will shut down in about 6 hours time.

Thanks everyone, just tried it and it does exactly what all of you said, shuts down the tech after you open the door and the lights once you lock.. feel like a bit of an idiot now, lol
I guess I was expecting it to work the same way as my old G35 where it shuts the whole car off.. seems things have changed since 2008!

Each vendor and perhaps even model will have different ways of doing things. I have both a Merc and BMW and they both have quite different ways of working out the same thing. A mix of both models would be a winner!

I had 100k miles on my g37x sedan before trading it in... Also problem free
I'm same username on both forums ... Haven't posted on g35driver in a while since years ago installing Kevin piersons auto lock kit which is still working perfectly to this day
Glad to see another Infiniti owner on the forum here
