MB Magic Access Electric Trunk

Hi all, I ordered my C450 with the electric trunk opener option and now that I have the car I realise it also comes with the ability to open the trunk with a wave or waggle of my foot under the back bumper! Its really handy when you have your hands full and it works every time!
Does anyone else have this feature with their electric trunk opener?

Yes, it's very good, as you say very handy when your hands are full.

Great feature indeed. Only thing that surprised me--doesn't really bother me, but initially surprised me--is that you cannot manually close the trunk. You must use the power close.

Another nice feature is the lock button, next to the trunk close button, on the trunk lid. It will close the trunk and then lock the doors. Very convenient.

Grant Hummel, - On my C450 with the electric closing truck option, - I can close the trunk manually if I want to, - just requires more of an effort and the salesman advised that it will not hurt anything. You can also close it by pushing the red button or waving your foot again under the bumper to close it.

Yes this feature is quite widespread. All of our cars have it. You can also close the trunk with the foot.

Not only do all the German manufacturers offer this, but so do people like Ford and Toyota.

Hmmm...interesting. I can't actually get my trunk to completely close without using the electronic closing feature (the actual bumper latch on mine retracts to close and secure the lid).
