Best specs/offset for aftermarket wheels?

Plan on buying a W205 C300 RWD in the coming months, definitely want to lower the car and throw on a set of aftermarket wheels among other mods.

After looking around at some aftermarket wheel threads I've seen what 20" Wheels look like on these cars and i like it! seems like the perfect size especially when lowered.

What width/offset tends to be the perfect fit for these cars? so far all i know is a good size for fronts would be 20x8.5 or 20x9 and for the rear would be 20x10. but when it comes to the offset im lost can anybody point me in the right direction?

First you'd need to know the offset of the factory wheels. You'd also want to measure the current gap between the outside of the tire and the inside of the fender lip.

20" is too much wheel for the C. Not even the C63 gets a 20". The dropped cars all look great, and ride like hell, because but of course you can't drive a car in a picture.

I believe the C300 takes a 44mm offset front and 52mm rear, with 225/40 19" tires front, and 255/35 19".

If you're looking to widen the wheels and push them out closer to the fender lips, you need to measure the space between the wheel and the lip. That will tell you how much play there is to drop offset and widen wheels.

I would not drop a C. The ride is already firm. Doing a +1 on it, increasing contact patch area by going wider, all degrade ride.
