Need brake pads

So a warning has come up to check brake pad wear or something.

Serviced last month to be told fronts 75% warn and rears 60%.

I'm not heavy on the brakes so how can this be?

The car is 1 year old only!!

Merc want £210 to change just the front pads. WTF??

All my other cars the pads would last about 3 years or about 40K miles I'm only on 16K miles. Only difference is this is a much bigger/heavier car than our old one and I believe the Merc auto brakes etc.

Not happy

Just had another thought that this car is auto rather than manual so your not using the gears to help slow you down.

Still seems rather a lot of brake wear though.

Unless your a ricky-racer you should still get 40 to 50,000 miles on your pads. JMHO. If it were my car I'd put a set of am ceramics on it myself. Won't be half that cost.

Thanks. That's what I'd of thought RE mileage. Unless wifey been ragging it about 😱

Lease is up in 10 months so no point getting ceramics.
