Hi guys, anyone have a CEL - check engine light come on after taking delivery?
It only has been 1 week and 250 miles in... I'm at about 350 now.

I have an appointment next week to bring it to the stealership. I don't have a OBD scanner. It's not the gas cap loose problem since I got the CEL light on half way into my first dealer supplied tank. I got gas and tighten the cap, the CEL is still on.

Any home DIY suggestions before I commit to a trip into the dealer? I know sometimes these things can come on for the stupidest reasons.

Even if you had OBD scanner it doesn't really make much difference. I suppose you could clear the error and wait for it come up again but that doesn't help either in finding the root problem.

New car - just take it in and get it checked out under warranty. It's a pain, but it happens.

Some dealerships will even drop off a loaner to you and pick up your vehicle, see if that's an option for you.
