I would only bring it to a MB dealer repair shop. The car is too new to allow someone not familiar and trained on the new C Class to attempt a repair.

Why does it have the Dealer Logo Plate on the vehicle?

Did you actually spin out the car ?

I would also have the Dealer recommend a Certified Body Shop.

Sorry to hear of your mishap. ...hope you are ok and not injured. Go to see a doctor as issues may crop up later.

I've always wondered if you wrecked a dealership car on a test drive. Who's insurance covers the damages?

OP looking for body shop in the Bay Area (presumably the SF area) and car was from a Dealer in Henderson NV. Doubt if he was on a test drive. I would advise an MB dealer as well.

According to a google search, it's evidently the dealers insurance:

I've always had to give my DL and insurance card to be copied before heading out on any test drives.........at least that's what I'm used to here in NCperhaps for that reason? dunno

If you read the link I posted above, it's to protect the dealer. i.e., the dealer must show proof to their insurance company you were licensed and insured in order for the dealer to make a claim against their insurance.

Up here in Canada, you have to sign agreement to acknowledge you'll be liable for deductible (usually $2500 to $5000) whenever you take out a tester or loaner.

In California, new cars don't get temporary tags like everywhere else, only a little sticker. He prob just didn't get permanent plates yet.

The insurance coverer is that of the at fault party. So in this case the driver. If driver is uninsured then dealers insurance would cover. Otherwise likely dealer would go through their own insurance who would recover cost from drivers insurance.

That's not necessarily true. At least in the US it's not. You didn't you read the link I provided above........
