Project C350R
Picked up the new car for the Mrs. today and since I'm in the 'customization' industry it won't stay stock for long.
The base car is already impressive but it looks a bit boring right now.
It's a full option C350e and I must say that I'm impressed after the first few miles.
Even though I'm a BMW guy I'm really amazed by the quality and layout of the C class interior!
The air ride is very comfortable and in sport+ stiff enough for some tight corners, the hybrid system is nice too, not the best I've ever experienced but it does it's job very well.
So far the little review, let's start the mods!
Some iPhone pictures of the car and a little preview of what I'm up to....

It's the 'Edition 1 badge', I didn't even know they made one but so it seems
The car was previously owned by Daimler AG (I'm the second owner) so maybe it's some sort of one-off since I can't find anything about the (c350) edition 1 online.
I bought it with only 4000kms on it so it's practically new.

It is a shame that Mercedes doesn't allow AMG and sport packages on this "e" model. I guess they figure that if you are interested in economic fuel consumption that you are plain and boring and would never pick any sporty features.

The car will be Satin White Aluminium, you can see it on the doors but it looks way better outside.
If you put on the C63 fenders you have to put on everything (hood, bumper, etc.) the C63 is about 5cm's longer than the normal C so without extending the front it won't fit.
We will know how much it will cost when we're done, everyday we're still finding new pieces we need to order.
Here's a M4 we've done in the same color.

Cool project JWD !
Looks like you are also putting the 'night package' on it, how did you you do that , using black foil ?
Can you please also post the intermediate steps when you solve the problem related to the plug in the back bumper ?

We're getting somewhere, hood and fenders are on, needs some fine tuning but it already looks a bit more muscular.
Calipers are at the paintshop.
One of the custom brackets we had to make, here you get an idea of how much the front is extended.

When we're done with this one it will be around 85k euro ($95k) new.
A similarly specced C63S will be 140k euro ($156k).
So $60k is one of the reasons, the other one is that we have a lot of 350e's here in The Netherlands (due to our tax system), way more than C63S's so it's smarter to have a demo based on a 350e .
And last but not least, I like to create cars that you cannot buy at the dealer...
