Does anyone have access to or have ripped the CarPlay videos from Mercedes regarding the C class. I was able to find a couple but I know there was more. My attorney wants them to see if there might be cause for a class action lawsuit.

Frankly a mobile screen UI looks dated and ugly on COMAND.
If you've used carplay in other cars, it works wonderfully and would LOVE to have it in my C. I was looking forward to it. I'd love to see someone make MB live up to their promises.

Thanks for all the support. I'm going to rip and package all the videos up tomorrow and send them to the attorneys thanks for the press release as well. My attorneys say that it will have to be trialed in federal court which is harder to win but my goal is to just get them to give us what was promised not to get any money out of it. None the less I will keep you updated and post about it here and on the c450 website.

Well all I'll say there is ask a silly question get a silly answer. As CarPlay does not exist on the C class your question cannot be answered. Perhaps check the specs on the E or A class where it is to be available first?
Was the CarPlay meant to be for command only or the base audio20 system as well?
Pretty sure the way these options are packaged, they would have have limited it to the upgraded Command package only.
However, there would likely have been a quick mod from 3rd party manufacturers once the API was cracked and hacked for the base audio systems for a cheap(er) price
When building a new A class it says you need Smartphone integration package on my Swedish site so i assume its compatible with any system. The carplay option was clicked on a totally standard car with audio 20 cd.
cool! yea i hope this gets backwards compatibility (wishful thinking), it's really up to MB to let it through to the different versions of their head units
I feel the OPs pain. I had a C300 on order in Summer 2014. When it was being built, MB announced CarPlay would not be a feature. My dealer played "dumb" the entire time and I refused to take the car when I came in. One of the primary reasons I ordered the car was for CarPlay. MB represented it would be a feature only to make it "not" a feature later on. My dealer was furious with me for not taking the car, but that is just too bad. I still plan on getting a C Class when CarPlay is added, but not until then. I suspect there are lots of people who fell for the same misrepresentation. It's not like dealers were exactly helpful with respect to advising on the issue.
