Intelligent Drive a gimmick?
Currently configuring the wife's next car and we're debating whether to get Intelligent Drive or not. Those who got it, do you regret it or are you happy with it? If you had to order your car again what would you do?
Most importantly, can you change the "default settings" to set which function you want/don't want when you turn the car on? We're worried it might be too intrusive when driving and too annoying to have to manually turn off/on certain functions.
Opinions? Comments?

In my model it is called drivers assistant package. Ill give you my 2 pennies. I like techie stuff so I don't regret. I like that the car watches the environment for me and can potentially save me from accidents etc when I am distracted or too slow to react. Of all the features, I don't like the lane keeping asst because it wants to correct many intentional moves when a solid line is crossed; constantly intervening in a carpool lane. depending of the model, you may or may not be able to turn off each and every one separately, but as far as I know the changes are retained when the car is turned off.

Intelligent Drive is great! It reduces fatigue in bumper to bumper traffic and can save your bacon if you're not paying attention.
Regular cruise control feels archaic now... haha

I love the lane assist. I sometimes get intervention also but most of the times its my own fault.
I can accept the minimal flaws in the system over the great advantages it offers.
And you can always switch it off if you don't like it.
