easy Nav voice mute/unmute??

easy Nav voice mute/unmute??
I don't drive this car often so I tend to forget the shortcuts I have learned. One of the first times I used the navigation, I muted the announcements. IIRC, it was a fairly simple process. Unlike my previous MB's, including my daily driver W209, the Nav doesn't default to "voice on." In the W209, mute/unmute is fairly straightforward: press mute while voice is talking to mute, press "repeat" at any time to restore voice.
The W205 has had the nav voice muted since that first trip; is there a simple way to unmute it? In my experience, the following instruction from the COMAND manual does NOT do it:

There is also a setting that can turn off the voice announcements and voice prompts ALWAYS, so make sure that setting isn't somehow ON, or OFF depending on what the prompt says. It will be in the NAV/Settings area
