Wondering how it integrates and if all OEM functions work. Like the trackpad and wheel etc.

It figures it wouldn't take long for someone in China to develop this. I imagine it's meant to be fully functional with the trackpad etc as this is the only way to control the unit. however, the likelihood of getting everything to work correctly without any glitches the first time is well....

If you like to tinker and be experimental, go for it. I'd like to know how well it works.

It's almost like MB wanted this to happen by choosing this design route.

Funny, that's the same thing I've been looking at lately. If I didn't buy the Garmin SD card, I would have bought this without question. From what I've seen on Youtube, it seems to be plug-n-play, has a bigger screen, and touch screen. Now, I just can't justify paying an extra $600 for just bigger screen.

I know it sounds stupid, but that's why I want it. I think the OEM non-mm package screen looks horrible

I know. It didn't seem to be a big deal for me before, but now my wife's got the MM pkg, it suddenly looks so horrible to me.

I was thinking maybe the factory pages are still there, that their stuff was a whole different set of menus/input

That is correct, presumably. I saw "Original" on their menu. Just bought one from Aliexpress to day for $420. I wish I didn't buy the Garmin sd card as this seems to be the cheaper option.

Yeah. But after I sat in the car with MM, my monitor is now looking so tiny. Plus, this thing will allow me to play video on it. With a phone mirror kit, it will let me play YouTube on my phone and mirror cast it on the car's screen. That would be sweet.

Took a quick look of the instructions, and think I really wouldn't want to mess with a car like this until it is like 10+ years old, at which point I wouldn't care if I break something...

Why can't they just make the swap easy, sliding out the screen and sliding in the new one, and be done with it.

Having said that, I would love to have
. It's like the best thing ever, works great with Windows phones and Android phones. I use it on my TV all the time.

Don't be intimidated by the instruction. That includes swapping out the CD drive, which involves a little more work. The one I bought doesn't include DVD drive and swapping it is as easy as you mentioned: sliding out the screen, sliding in the new one, connecting the cable and that's it. I can't wait for it to get here.
