How much did you pay for wheel & tire protection and prepaid maintenance ?
Picking up my C450 this weekend, and thinking of getting both. Without getting into if it's needed or not, how much did everyone pay for wheel & tire insurance if you got it for your car ?

Didn't bother with tyre but they quoted £300 for that. Prepaid is £30 a month. Not worth getting imo

I paid $900 for three years of wheel/tire insurance since I opted for the more expensive 19" AMG wheels. I also paid $725 for 2 years of pre-paid maintenance (A & B service).
I've already had a 19" rear tire replaced for free...that's almost $400 right there!

1400 USD for five years of coverage. Got a tire replaced, curb rash repair and have a bent rim that I will be getting fixed in a few weeks. I still have a lot of work to do to make up the rest of the difference but I used to live in NY and you are basically guaranteed to bend a rim at least once a winter. Do the math and see if it makes sense for you. I had a bit of buyers remorse at first but I am happy with the peace of mind.

$1,300 for 5 years of coverage. I've been through 2 northeast winters with my C400. The winter of 2014/2015 I had one tire replaced due to pothole damage and some curb rash repaired (19" wheels). These 2 incidents were worth about $550. At that rate I thought the plan would pay for itself in a couple of years. So far this winter I haven't had to use the coverage at all.

I recently bent the two right wheels due to a pothole impact. Both wheels were replaced, with a $250 deductible, through my regular auto insurance policy.
Many auto insurance policies will cover road damage to the car, including wheel and/or tire damage, so it would make sense to check your own insurance policy before spending more money for another policy which may not be needed.

For the warranties, remember that you can get those through some of the forum MB dealer contacts, like Erin Mahre, who offer us lower prices in return for higher sales volume from our forum. Even Erin couldn't offer me more than $50 off the PPM, though, because of the low margins.

I'm getting quoted $1100 for wheel/tire ins (stock AMG 18's on the C450), going to try to talk them down since someone said they paid $900 for 19's for 5 years.
I'm getting quoted $5xx for the 3 year maintenance, which really is just one of each schedule A and schedule B maintenance. I think I might just get it to avoid issues at lease return, but will try again to get them to throw it in with the deal.
