Why do you keep asking. Pics are no different than previous posts? Are you unsure of what you have done to you car? If you like it that is all that matters!!! Personally not my taste.

Do you think it would look better with this decal on the hood instead of the German emblem?

That will make it worse. You're drawing attention to it. If it was me, I would just leave the blemish alone

Maybe try one of these for the hood...

Better idea... Bite the bullet and get your hood resprayed. It's going to be a ***** for them to match and you will be charged accordingly. Maybe you can take the opportunity to try to replicate the look of the AMG with the ribs. Did you lease or own?

But don't you think it matches the theme of the side skirts better and it won't look as much out of place as the German badge.? I want the blemish covered but also not look like I'm trying to hide something

man your paranoid and really care what people will think.....

if you like it keep it if not pay to get it fixed you drive a C450 for god sakes be happy about it.

I drove a 500$ **** box all different coloured panels and I didn't give a F*** what people thought. lol its your car do what you want if you want and care what people think just get it fixed and everyone will say "wow that looks better now, good job with the side skirt thats something different"

You just keep posting and asking peoples opinions. when the only opinion that matters is yours.

sorry to be so blunt.

If you want to know my opinion, if it were my car., it would have been left stock and I would have already taken it to the f-ing shop and had it resprayed. I love things like custom wheels and spoilers but your stuff looks like s--t. Quit messing with it. Eventually you will ruin the paint somewhere else!

You are being paranoid about the hood not matching. A good job will match. Does not matter that you once had a paint job that didn't match. If you can afford that car, you can afford to get the hood painted. I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone so in need of acceptance from others. Would you have put that vinyl on the rockers if you did not have those badges on the hood. No. Would you have put the badges on the hood if the hood was not messed up? No. So stop making your car look stupid and get your hood repainted.

Actually I like the vinyl on the rockers.. I would leave it even if I had the hood repainted..it really gives it a nice touch... The hood is what I'm trying to get ideas for.. But almost every one here seems to hate mods on the body.. Someone must have vinyl stripes or logos or something on cars.. I used to own s Subaru sti and everyone I say had some vinyl on them..

Baffled by the length some people seem to be going to in this thread, to make their point how OP should not bother about what other people think.

This is multi-user forum, where one comes to ask, share and natter ... is it not ?

I do not disagree with you. I gave my opinion. I think this stuff on his car is not my taste. He wants everyone to affirm that what he is doing looks nice. It is not going to happen. He has to please himself. He is the one who keeps asking for an opinion. He wants every to say it's gorgeous.

OP is far too concerned.

Looks like doodoo though.

Side blade vinyl doesn't match front spoiler.

Any additional badging is always fail.

Get the hood hydro-dipped in Carbon fiber, that will really please every one here.

Respray Baby. Easy fix. A good shop will do a fantastic job. You can then get rid of those tacky badges.

Do you think a good shop can match the paint or will they have to blend the fender also? I would rather just have the hood resprayed but do you think the blemish is too close to the fender to require that to be resprayed also?

A good shop will blend hood and might blend fender. I have had 2 cars that have had this done in past. One was metallic red other was grey. No problem. I would not sweat it. Take it to a high quality shop and get it evaluated. It is stone chip. Your insurance may cover it under comprehensive.

If I left the side skirt silver vinyl like it is but took off the colored stripes what you guys think about that? Or should I remove the whole thing back to stock? I think the silver side skirt look nice, no?
