Rustproofing
If you have rustproofed (or not) and have something to add, I would be happy to hear it.
Thanks
There is no need for rustproofing since the late 90s. And undercoat is also very bad for modern cars and may block sensors.
The only stealerhsip upsell these days are security etching, clear bra, and interior protection products which to me only clear bra is worth it as long as they don't charge double of what good independent shop charges.
In this harsh environment, car does rust, we can see late model cars (read Mazda, some GM & Chrysler) with prematurity rust. That being said, MB has good reputation of resisting to rust. There is a lot of MB 10 years old around here with no sign of rust.
I have decided to not add any additional rust proofing on mine as I did for my previous car (Nissan Maxima)

Modern cars use aluminum and treated metal, as well as plastics, in their body panels and structure, and are much less susceptible to rust than older cars. The safest bet is to just ignore all the sales pitches for a very questionable and unnecessary product.

It also depends on what your local government used to clear roads. East of Manitoba it is mostly salt base so it's wise to hose your car down whenever possible.
Out here in the prairies, we are too cold for salt to work and we are much dryer as well, so rust is never an issue since the 90s unless it comes from body damage.
