C 220 Bluetec
Late gear changing
Hi guys!
I own a C220 bluetec and something is strange about gear changing. When I kickdown it usually reaches almost 4700-4800 rpm before changing the gear, which seems odd to me for a diesel engine. I asked my dealer about it and they told me that it is ok, because these are newer engines and can handle almost 5000 rpm. Some opinions, people who have/had the same problem?
Thanks in advance!

Well, first of all I did not have the opportunity to see a diesel changing gears at such rpm. Even the cls 350 cdi I had was changing around 4,2k-4,3k at full throttle. And second of all, out of curiosity I watched some videos on youtube with c220 kickdowns and all of them are changing gears also around 4,2k.
