Refresh your brakes

A tip for us who appreciates a well kept car.

Remove wheels

Clean rotors using brake cleaner

Wipe off with cloth

Mask caliper and brake shield using simple piece of cardboard

Spray rotor with zinc paint

Brakes looks as the car just got out from Stuttgart

30 minute job, tops.

Nice work, still loving those wheels. You plan on keeping your C for a while?

S213
Thanks!

Will most likely replace it when the facelift comes out, but that also depends on how the new E-Class Estate turns out

Before and After pics?
Looks great! Let us know how it lasts, and would using a clear-coat on top or a high glossy spray paint - would that help to clean brake dust off?

that stuff really clogged up the holes in my front rotors when Mercedes replaced mine, I cleaned them out with a drill with no bit on the end. looks good though!

Wait... you painted the surface of your brake rotors? That could have a severely deleterious effect on brake performance/stopping distance.

fresh rotors from Mercedes come with what looks like that exact stuff on them. I have had mine replaced and it looked exactly like that when I picked it up.

Looks great! I painted mine on my black s205 with a 2way clear-coat brake paint when it was new. And after 16000km when I changed it in, it looked like new. Haven't done it on my new car, have to do it when I put on my new wheels..
