He also means either 255/30/20 or 255/25/20.
First number is tread width in MM
Second number is the ratio of sidewall height to tread width. (30% of 255mm for example is a sidewall height of 76mm)
Last number is wheel diameter. On a staggered set up with wider rears you drop down in sidewall ratio on the rear to keep the overall wheel + tire diameter the same or close to it.

Tried another set of rims today(Niche) and the front cleared control arm, but barely. The guys at the rim shop said it was way to close for the install. In fact, they said, and I saw, that the tire definitely would have touched the control arm. They called Vossen and Vossen said they are aware of the issue and said I could have some custom ones made at this point. I am sure that will cost an arm, leg, kidney and a lung.

You're within a mm of the OEM offset for the front on a C450, so it can't be an offset issue. That leaves wheel width and rolling diameter (rim+tire overall diameter).

More proof the C450 is a unique beast, top to bottom, for better or worse.

The 4x45 Alpine amp gives plenty of sound! You will not need anything bigger. Since my Alpine was installed where the speaker are ( invisible ) I also added a JBL Basspro SL as a sub. it was a nice improvement but not as drastic as the Alpine which is a must. THe sub cost was $150 + $110 installation if I remember correctly. I took to the same guy who installed the Alpine and he did again a great job. I tried to upload a picture but the forum here would not let me and it would freeze.

Hi. What's the spec of those wheels?
And btw, i had those extensas on my last car (genesis coupe) in the rear, 275/30/20 and these were pretty slippery in the rain, even in the slightest rain so I just wanted to tell you to be careful. I totaled my genesis coupe on the highway by hitting the wall because I had to yank the steering wheel just a little so I can avoid this stupid car coming into my lane (they didn't check their blind spot) and the rear end kicked out to the point that I couldn't save the car. I must have counter steered in the middle of 5 lane highway like 6 times(luckily I dodged all the cars but couldn't avoid the wall) but still couldn't bring it back.

Hi. Do you think it's possible to fit a 9" wheel in the front? I know it entirely depends on the offset so I'm trying to figure out what offset would work to clear the inside and at the same time, not poke. This is for a C400 btw. Thanks guys!
