I already regret selecting the 19" multispoke AMG when buying the car, so I bought a set of C63s style 20".
Specs are:
Front 8,5x20 et 45 with Michelin PS 4S 245/35
Rear 9,5x20 et 50 with Michelin PS 4S 275/30

Et was perfect but there was an issue with the front calipers touching the inside of the spokes at one place.
Had to do some grinding on the inside. Not a preferred solution but I didn't want to scratch the calipers and I couldn't find a 1 mm spacer.

I'm thinking of lowering it a bit but it's a lease car so I'm not sure what modifications I can do.

Can anyone provide advice on how you pick the correct offset?

2015 W205 OEM specs are:

225/45 R18 on 7.5 J x 18 ET 44 (Front)
245/40 R18 on 8.5 J x 18 ET 49 (Rear)

The MSW Type 30 only comes in 8.5 x 18 48mm offset in back.

For the fronts I have a choice of 40mm or 33mm offset. How do I chose?

If your car is a C300, there is really no fitment issues with the 300/400 models. The big issue with the 450/43 was the car has a little beefier caliper and the same suspension arm like the 63, but without the wider fenders, so pretty much 8.5 wheels were a nightmare to fit as the regular 45 offset of most wheels did not clear the suspension arm, the offset needed to be like a 25 or 30, but that would then push the rim out too far past the fenders. Some actually did some 9.0 rims with I think a 25, and the 9.0 rim would stretch the tire and rounded the sidewalls a bit giving some clearance with the car lowered, but all of this is not an issue with a 300 model, you can fit 8.5 ET45 and in the rear a 9.5 with a 45-50 offset. Here is a pic of my old C300 W205, I had 19X8.5 et45 front and 19x9.5 et50 rear with the factory 225/255 19 tire setup.

Recommend using a wheel site to find the offset you want.
Mine offset is 45mm fronts and 48mm rears. Good luck bro!

I will try their 7.5x18 40mm fronts and 8.5x18 48mm rears and see if they fit. Thanks.

I just took my car to a reputable wheel and suspension specialist, choose the rim design I wanted and told him I wanted it lowered with the H&R springs, he did the rest. The wheels we milled to suit the correct offsets. I have no spacers at all, a car lowered by 30mm and nothing rubs at all (I have a hoist at work, so I have checked underneath a couple of times). Even going hard over pot holes it hasn't rubbed. I think sometimes we over think things. Give the car to an expert and let them work it out. It wasn't expensive either, when you compare it to OEM wheels. I paid AU$4,000 for wheels, tyres and springs, supplied and fitted. I don't think it's worth the headache of trying to do it yourself, not on a nice C-Class, anyway.

You're overthinking it! There is going to be a range of applications with aftermarket wheel suppliers, the offset and wheel option will depend on the size and whether or not you are doing staggered wheels or non staggered wheels. Just like AMG, follow what the Tuners recommend, like Brabus, Carlsson etc...they have the proven applications as they must have their applications approved by the German TUV, this is always who the aftermarket wheel companies follow, they see what is recommended by the tuners and they will typically match it or be a bit more aggressive by a few Millimeters, which is not a huge difference if one says ET48, and one says ET45 on the same width rim it is not going to make a big difference.
If you are looking to run a staggered fitment, most manufactures will offer a 8.5 rim and 9.5 rim, the factory is conservative running a 7.5/8.5 combo with high offsets and square tire setups, this is what would be an OE standard. The aftermarket setup will always be a more aggressive application. If you are nervous or concerned, you should just try locating a set of Take Off sportline wheels, I know there are some good deals posted in the Marketplace area of this site.
Hope this helps.

Very nice, I was looking at this style for my e550 coupe 2010 also in gloss black but I think it may be too aggressive for that car. Looks beautiful on the new c coupe though.

Hi there!

First post - I hope you guys can give me some advice. I've just bought a C450 AMG and are looking for new summer wheels for the car. The ones I'm looking at are 8.5x19 ET 30 front and 8.5x19 ET 40 rear. I'm not to worried on the rear, but slightly worried on the front as the wheel is an inch wider than the original 7.5", but ET is just 3 mm lower - do you guys think the fronts will rub or come out too far?

Thanks!

I have chosen ET35 front and ET50 rear offsets. But I had to use 5mm spacers on front to get wheels installed successfully without any rubbing finally. Based on the experience, I’d recommend to use 20x8.5j ET30 front and 20x10j ET45 rear.
