19x8.5 ET 45 square setup

Hi guys,

Do you think that 19x8.5 ET 45 on 235/35/19 all round will work on a W205 non AMG ? Sometimes I see some people saying yes, sometimes no for the front and nothing for the rear. The car is not (and will not be) lowered and I prefer not to use spacers.

Thanks in advance

Not sure about the 8.5" on the fronts. OEM is:

C300

7.5Jx18 ET44 /45 = 1mm suck
8.5Jx18 ET56 /45 =11mm poke

"Suck" means the wheel will be more inward toward the suspension than stock.
"Poke" means the wheel will be more outward toward the fender lip.

The rears would actually look better pushed outward, and 11mm should not give you any fender clearance problems. On widths going from staggered to square the safest bet would be to go with the narrowest of the two rather than the widest.

I think 19x8 square would probably be safe.

Thanks for your answer Mike.

The car actually have 17x7ET48.5 wheels. Here are the specs :

19x8's are probably safer but not available for the wheels which I want

Niche Targa? Nice wheel. I've never owned a Mercedes where the offset varied dependent on rim width. Where did you find that OEM offset info for the 17" wheel?

The car have these wheels (picture taken from a random car found on google) :

I found the offset on the swiss MB website (I live in Switzerland) :

Juste click "Download Classe C type 205 berline"

Right, for 19" wheels the factory offset for your W205 is 44mm front and 56mm rear. If you're going to 19" those would be your numbers.

Hi guys,

I have the pleasure to tell you that this setup works on a non-full-AMG and non-AMG-kit. If I have some time and if the weather is good, I will do some fitment pictures so people who wants more details will find answers quickly
