Seriously considering the purchase of this AWE Touring catback exhaust for my C300:

Any thoughts on the sound, manufacturer, price, etc?

Question
Just to confirm, this is a direct bolt-on with no cutting needed for proper fit, correct? I have a lease and will want to set it back to stock before turn-in.
Could you give your personal take on how the Touring for the C300 sounds? How does it change the character of the car?
Slightly louder than stock, but a more aggressive tone? Or much louder than stock? And how does the Touring sound in comparison to the Switchpath in the Open position?

Touring is certainly more aggressive than stock. The stock configuration is very, very tame. It significantly changes the attitude all around when compared to stock.
Since the Touring Edition features two of our 180 Technology®-equipped resonators in the rear, the result is a very refined tone. With the valve open on the SwitchPath™ system it gives the C300 a significant dose of aggression. A unique characteristic about the C300's SwitchPath™ application is it features our 180 Technology® as well, but it's up front rather than in the rear -- the first system where we've included both our SwitchPath™ technology and 180 Technology®.
Check the videos below, particularly when the valve is open on the SwitchPath™ as indicated in the top right corner via the AWE Tuning SwitchPath™ Remote.
My take: the Touring Edition is the perfect balance for any given time, while the SwitchPath™ system is addicting with the valve open as it really awakens the C300 without sounding like a typical 4-cylinder. At any given time you can close the valve and it goes back to stealth mode. Mood control is nice to have.

I posted in the AWE thread on this. Install went smooth, great team. At first driving home I was like oh no this is too loud, but I had the seats down because I saved the original exhaust in my car. Once up it sounds fantastic. I love the sound it gives. Huge Pro. The con would be that when I am on a long drive in the mountains, if you want it quiet you don't have that option. Overall very happy.

I am seriously considering this to be added to my Mod List.
I have the Dinan Tuner ordered, K&N ordered, 19" AMG Multi Spoke wheels (thanks MASS450) installed w/ Pirelli P Zeros.
Coming from a long history of Mustangs this is a whole new world.
My Question is -- how involved is the install to do at home?
Has anyone done it and about how long would it take?
AWE do you have any feedback?
I am leasing the car and will most likey turn it in in 2 1/2 years so I would put it back to stock.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
BTW Car is - 2016 C300

Well, FWIW, the install process is only eight steps. There's no cutting involved as the Touring and SwitchPath™ Exhausts reuse the factory issues v-band clamp and connect seamlessly to the factory inlet. Check the install guide right here for reference of install. While I'm a huge DIYer myself, I usually recommend having a shop do it due to of having a lift (if you have access to one and can use on your own, more power to ya!).
Aside from all that, welcome to the MB realm!

Josh.. Thanks for the info.
We have ways done all our mod work ourselves. Dad was a Ford tech for 40 years and I've been following him around since I was born lol
Unfortunately no lift at home but plenty of tools.
I just wanted to make sure there were no out of the ordinary circumstances w install especially since I'll have to put the car back to stock at end of lease.....
We've done systems on several Mustangs through put the years.
I'll look over instructions and look at possibly ordering very soon.
Thanks again
