Woof. That sounds pretty damn good. That's the touring model right?
I still don't understand why it doesn't get that crackle and pop like the AMG45 motor does revving in neutral.

Don't mistake the increased exhaust tone for drone. Drone is resonance that causes vibration, a frequency that the 180 Technology® kills thoroughly. Also, give it time to break in.

i just installed this yesterday - it's too soon to say if i Like it or hate it. Still trying to decide becuase when im going WOT it sounds awesome.
what im annoyed of/not used to is the drone and increasing rumbling/humming noise that i'm hearing even in comfort mode. This is my first aftermarket exhaust system so i'm not sure if its typical, but my preference would be if it maintained the sound levels of stock exhaust in comfort when i'm in comfort.
So far, even in comfort the sound is a bit louder than I had hoped. However, in S+ the car sounds great especially when i gun it and literally feel those backfires

It's like there is no give and take with the customer that which could help in product development and improvement. You guys are just here to defend your product or sell it...

Good point, but what I don't understand is why people who buy a "performance" exhaust system think is would not be louder than stock in every way? That's why it's called a "performance" exhaust people...it's freer flowing than stock, hence it WILL be louder than stock. The trick always has been for these "performance" exhausts to reduce the drone associated with a freer flowing exhaust at a steady cruising speed...not to be confused with the normal increase in exhaust note.

Right. There is no way the "touring" exhaust is droning. Maybe the "track" one has a bit of drone but that's expected.
You wanna hear drone. Ride in my old A4 with 3" a strait pipe exhaust revving at a steady 3800 rpm's @ 80mph. Now THAT is drone.

How come in all the exhaust threads that are started around this site, there are (not talking specifically towards AWE) questions, suggestions, annoyances, etc etc and you guys are no where to be found; yet when someone says drone and AWE in the same sentence you guys instantly pop out of the bushes like a guerrilla soldier in 1970 Vietnam?

Threads I'm subscribed to give me notification. I'm here to inform, provide support, (and hang) with you all as much as I can, that is (it's tricky to be everywhere at once sometimes).
Further, regarding the "give and take" aspect -- a couple handfuls of folks from this forum and myself have held some email chains (as a group) that consisted of exchanging good ideas and comments about products and potentials we'd make available for everyone.
My door, albeit digital, is always open.

OK Josh, now that I have your attention...
I've brought this up many times and been ignored; so much so that I've often thought about the logistics of doing this myself as I have a lift, a welder, and a bit of know-how, but just don't think I could realistically pull it off..
When are you guys going to combine your touring & track exhausts into one unit? Right now, Armytrix/Meisterschaft/Brabus are cleaning up by [over]charging $5k for their units. If you guys were to add a valve/muffler combo and combine both of your exhaust options into one and sell them for ~$2000, you guys could revolutionize the game. Seriously, I would figure you'd have exhaust orders out the door and you'll probably have a ROI greater than your current units yield.
