It gets you an extra 12 months of warranty once the original 4/48 expires. MB charges the dealer for the certification and that usually is reflected in the price vs a non CPO car. My preference is to never have a Benz out of warranty and still financed, so I'll usually extend the CPO out one or two years if necessary. Around $2500 for one extra year, $4400 for two. Depends on how long you plan on keeping the car. Great warranty though, zero hassles on three CPO S Class.
