C300 Sputtering On Accel.

C300 Sputtering On Accel.
9700 miles, no oil change yet, just started happening last week.
Under moderate-to-heavy acceleration, while fully warmed up, the car will sputter and hesitate (almost like fuel starvation) from RPMs ranging from 2.5k-5.5k in all gears.
It makes some mechanical sounds too, like something metal bouncing around, when the sputtering happens, like the engine is being shook around and the whole car is jerked back and forth with each stutter. There are several stutters, randomly and quickly, every time i stomp on the gas.
It FEELS like it could also be a transmission issue, the way the car jerks around. but it sounds more like an engine issue, sounds like the exhaust popping noises when the car is shifting in sport+, but it's happening during acceleration.
Any ideas before i take it to the dealer?

I think it doesn't hurt to ask but just make sure you've been filling your car with premium gas. My father had similar issues on this pre-owned Audi he bought until he figured he should be using premium on it......he filled and drove the car 3,000 miles before he started noticing that.

my thoughts too, but i filled it up the day after i noticed it with basically 11 gallons of new fuel, still sputtering. im wondering if i have to fully go through this new tank of gas before the old tank of gas is pretty much gone

I would take it in immediately if it's hesitating. Imagine what could happen if it stalled at the worst possible moment
I wouldn't wait. You should also see if they will perform A service free for your trouble, it's worth a shot.

UPDATE:
Took it to the dealer for Service A with these complaints:
1) Wind noise
2) Eco Start/Stop stopped functioning, light would not turn on at all upon starting the car
3) Sputtering in Idle and during acceleration
Dealer came back with:
1) Changed all door seals (didnt do diddly squat for the noise)
2) Bad spark plug jacket on Cylinder 1 caused misfire in Cylinder 1, changed spark plug under warranty, sputtering is now gone
So overall, im happy that i didnt break the car, happy it took a few days rather than a few weeks, but no acoustic glass
And the Start/Stop is working normally so far

Also, a zero options C300 loaner is a completely different car. no keyless go, halogen lights, etc...
Boy was i glad to get back into my own car and i felt very justified in having spent almost $14k in options

Quite sad how MB strips the base model. Even the base A4 has LED lights. MB would improve it's brand image and simplify it's production lines by making LED lights standard on the C class at least (leave the CLA for the barebones models). Too bad they are too dumb to realize this is watering down of the brand, hell the 2017 C Class has removed power folding mirrors from being standard too that can't make production easier.
