COMAND screen went blank

COMAND screen went blank
This morning, when I first started the car, the COMAND screen was off. No radio either ... everything was just dead. I pushed the pad, moved the volume control, toggled the agility switch .... nothing. Then, after a couple of minutes, the Mercedes logo appeared and the entire system started working again.
(The car started right up, and all other functions seemed just fine.)
Has anybody seen this before? Very weird.

Exact same thing happened to me as well a couple of weeks ago. It never happened again.

used to happen occasionally on my S210, and twice in a year on a W211, and once in a year in a W212.
the touchpad has stopped working twice in two years on the W205.
