C450 Resonator Delete
Hey Guys,
Has anyone removed the resonator only on their C450? If so, any issues and do you notice a difference in the sound?
I like the sound now but I also own a C350, tuned with Meisterschaft exhaust its quite a bit louder and has a deeper sound....
Thanks,

If I'm not mistaken, there is a lot of drone if you do a muffler and resonator delete. I just want to do a resonator delete only and keep the stock mufflers for now.

MBWorld Fanatic!
the question is, replacing the muffler (we have 2 right), with SS piping - is there any drone? SOmeone asked on the youtube vid of this 1, but no response.

Replacing stock mufflers with straight through perforated mufflers
And keeping the stock resonators does crate drone at 2k....
Judicious dynamat in the spare tyre well, boot and rear qtr inner panels
Dulls it perfectly...
A little burble a little bark and the shift fart in s+ is a lot more pronounced...

It sounds is absolutely insane with resonator and muffler delete. Pops and crackles or so loud you can modulate it by just a little touch of gas pedal. There is a drone , you hust have to live with it but it's not 2 bad. https://www.instagram.com/p/BN-EPanhvIn/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BPf1wfmhGED/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BPeCk7pBpRj/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BPeDeZGBbjF/

Main issue is the vibration for me. From some of the older posts, I recall a few people removing the resonators on the C300 and C400s, and it apparently didn't make a difference. Same amount of vibration occurs with the seats down. I dynamatted the pseudo-spare-tire well which tamed the drone a bit, but the vibration is about the same.
It's not really the vibration and drone that's causing a problem, but rather the poor fitment of the stock C class trim pieces which can cause rattle over time
