Is the AMG- Night package worth it?

Hi,

I went to my dealership last week and ordered a w205 without the amg-nightpackage (In Sweden you get darker windows, 18'' rims, a bit different bodykit and leather seats + flatbottom steering wheel) but the more i look at cars with the amg-kit, the more i want it. The reason i didnt order it was that i want the ride to be comfortable and i am afraid that an amg-package will make the car cost more. New tires more often, suspension parts must be replaced more often etc. Are these fears something that is true? Bear in mind that i will drive 90% motorway so the roads will be good most of the time.

C180 S205 AMG Line Arrives Sept. 2016
In Norway the night package content: Black windowtrim, tinted window, black mirrors, black wing detail on front bumper and black rear bumper diffusor.

The AMG line styling is bumpers and sideskirts, aswell as flat bottom steering wheel, aluminum pedals and sportseats.

The suspension choice are normal steel spring. Sport steel suspension with 15mm lower clearance and Airmatic.

Airmatic is probably best comfort, but when warranty expires, you really dont want that bill.

Try the configurator at www.mercedes-benz.se to see what you like.

I think we have the same options in Sweden. I am at the moment thinking about changing to the amg-package but take the normal suspension and maybe ask to only get 17'' wheels. It is mostly the exterior and the interior i want but i still want a comfortable ride.

I ordered AMG with sport suspension and night pack with 19". I think its comfy and at the same time a little sporty. 18" five star rims are what's included with amg package.

The most important is that your happy with your car, and that's hard not be with 205

How long wait is it in sweden? 6 months here....

October they said. I will probably get the amg package. Man i love that steering wheel. Do they offer a package for winter wheels in Norway and/or how much did it cost?

Thats not bad tho! I'll support you on AMG pack decision You can also get just AMG interior pack with Avantgarde exterior if you want. They do, but its 22 000 NOK, so i will probably buy Rial M10 18". That will be 16 000 NOK with tires and tire pressure monitor.

The only mechanical difference between an "AMG package" suspension and the base is shorter springs that lower the car by 15mm. No difference in durability, and no AMG parts involved. Just shorter springs. The AMG package is cosmetic.

It will ride stiffer since its lowered. Adding AirMatic to the build fixes that problem, allowing you to have the sporty look of the AMG Kit but keep a comfortable ride.
