Buying an C-Class, Hoping to expand my overall knowledge.

Hello friends.
Intro
I am been a Mercedes fan for a couple of years now and a Diesel lover for years, I've driven so many Diesel cars and SUVthat I am in love with the torque and the sound of acceleration( Yes weird I know).
My friend MB C-class was a 2008 W203 Post-Taxi got it 3 years ago with 580k KM on it, the car drove felt like new the materials were solid, It's like magic, one would expect a Taxi to be beaten but Mercedes showed that it can handle anything even high milage, sadly I sold it 2 years ago because I wanted a Turbo Petrol car, you know...a teenage wanting more power, and at the moment I am driving my brother's 2008 W204 Post-Taxi and to be honest the shifting flares are really frustrating because I've never experienced anything like it in my W203,and I've driven a friend's W212 E300 CDi 7G and I have to say it was another worldly, smooth, strong, comfy, sporty, no sound at alone inside the cabin in other words, Perfect!

[Main Topic]

I fell in love with the W205 since the moment it was announced and being a Mercedes it is not on the cheap side, and me being a diesel lover, I though I could hit 2 birds with one stone, I can buy a Taxi W205 170HP and turn it into a Private owned Vehicle, and now after 2 years I can legally do that(Law here allows turning a Taxi into a Private car only after 2 years of it being on the road) Now it being a Taxi it sure will be the base model with black leather and piano console, Pics for reference.

Basically this is what I am going to get unless I find one that has been upgraded by the owner.
I am interested in how well the car drive compared to previous generation, how smooth will the gearbox be(Traumatized by the W204 Shift Flares and power delivery delay), What features would be there a base model Benz and what features won't be there. is the power adequate to someone who occasionally like to hit a pedal to the metal. actually I could benefit from any little information you guys can provide me, Thank you.

OFF-TOPIC
I know sometimes my wall of texts gets annoying but I really love to give people more insight about my situation for them to be able to help to the fullest. Thank you in advance everyone.

Go to MBUSA (or the MB website for your country) and configure a build on a 205. You'll find detailed explanations of every available option and package. Just need to put in the time and do the homework. Good luck!

Mike5215 Thank you for replying.
I actually did do that a while ago and I couldn't find anything of use to me, because all the cars listed on there are the luxury model and there are no CDI to choose from, to my knowledge all Taxis here come equipped with the Avantgarde suspension. I tried searching on the internet and looking on Youtube but could not find anything, and I am yet to see a W205 coming to our Diesel fueling Station so I can not examine the car as much as I want to.

Here (US) we have no diesels, no avante garde and no 205 taxis. There are several members from Europe. Maybe they'll chime in.

Because where he lives buying the car for the purpose of taxi will drastically reduce/eliminate his tax bill. Lots of people do that overseas since personal vehicles in some countries are heavily taxed. So by buying it as a taxi for 2yrs eliminates the tax.

And often c classes in Europe are taxis......

Mercedes are no cheap cars, and even the base models are expensive, so by buying a former Taxi I can get myself a Mercedes cheaply compared to it's market price.

*A Base model C-class with the 1.6 engine costs 65K USD over here
*A Former Taxi C-Class with 170HP CDi costs 39K USD
