Don't know when my car was built, but it has A.G., does that mean its an earlier build?

I guess this is what MB was doing.
Old felt, no acoustic glass. - wind noise issue, door/windows rattle issues.
Then, old felt, with acoustic glass. - door/windows rattle issues.
Then, new felt, no acoustic glass. - thought wind noise issue fixed, but not...
Latest, maybe new felt, with acoustic glass. - decided to get those acoustic glass back in as new felt along with other "fixes" didn't actually fix the wind noise issue. Or maybe acoustic glass was just out of stock at one point.

There's not so much consistence, and it's just my speculation.

How does it sound? I had to take mine to a second dealer to get it done as the first service manager said "your NEVER getting acoustic glass." He gave me the operating as normal speech.

Did you you have to ask for the felt upgrade or did they do it as part of the TSB? I called my SA and he only saw the order for glass and did not mention anything about the seals. Do you think I should call to clarify or just see what happens. I don't want to seem like a pain in the ***. I'm running out of dealerships in my area as they all lack customer service (with the exception of these guys so far).

thanks Stan

It was all listed as part of the TSB. I simply said the car was noisy and the dealer did the rest. There was no argument ... in fact, my dealer called me to tell me they had done the complete TSB with acoustic glass and the door insulation. I didn't even know about the felt until it was done.

Disagree.
It makes pretty much no difference in appearance - still a glass that's transparent. It's the noise cancelling feature that you want, not how it looks. Although some owners had mentioned it made negligible difference by replacing original glass with acoustic glass.

Does it make a significant difference? I thought you had said your cars weren't bad (re wind noise).

It doesn't make a difference.. I had a car with acoustic glass and a car without and the difference isn't even detectable.. my car I have now doesn't have it and I was worried when I first got it, but I have no wind noise.. in fact I think this car is even quieter than the car that had the acoustic glass..

The singular most important thing here is what is causing this noise, not how to mask it. I find my acoustic glass has made an improvement but i can still detect high pitched wind noise at over 70mph.

ive tried to determine its source, I've really no idea. It's worst for me on the passenger side (UK).

I did not have a real wind noise issue on either of my C300's. I could hear wind gusts, and road noise though. The TSB did quiet the car down a bit, and I rarely can hear even the worst wind gusts. In normal driving, there is a slight reduction in road noise. Overall, it is an improvement, but not a dramatic one.

New MB owner. 2018 C300 (manuf 5/18). Started noticing wind noise, I'll describe it since I don't know if I have it bad or if it used to be worse or what. It's like a whisper of wind is coming through the door - drivers side door is where i hear it toward top and front of window - hard to pinpoint. I get door pillars have wind noise on the outside, but this seems like it's getting in. Is that what others have? It's not particularly loud, it just doesn't sound right - sounds leaky.

No dealer messed around with it, but didn't fix it. I've been thinking of taking it back, but it's a lot of hassle.
