C200 7G-TRONIC
Better exhaust sound in C200

Hello,

I am new here, my nickname is Mondrast and I am from Spain.

I have just buy a Mercedes C200 7G-Tronic and I want to get better the exhaust sound, get it louder but not too much, only a little bit.

I saw complete new exhaust systems but I think it is too much for I am looking for. For me this is enough:

I tried to contact with them but they only made this modification in Germany. What I need to do to get this kind of "louder" sound in my C200. This company told me they modificate the original resonator to make this sound louder but I do not know.

Thank you

It sounds like a resonator delete to me. It's too tame to be a muffler delete. Sounds good.

For a little more edge, ie deeper note at low rpm and at higher rpm a little more rasp (but not shrill metallic farting).. a muffler replacement with magnaflows is a great low cost tweak.

It introduces little in the way of drone.. HOWEVER IF YOU LIKE SOME PEACE ON HIGHWAYS ADDING DYNAMATT TO THE BOOT FLOOR AND WHEEL WELL WILL HELP ALOT...

Makes the gear shift noise a littl emore prominent too..

Interesting. Do you have any videos! Someone on YouTube put magnaflows on his c300 but it sounded the same as stock.

No vids.... soz.. in work..

Mufflers were $400 aud fo the pair, install was $500..

I asked them to fab the bends and to add brackets to the originals so i can replace whenever i want.. i can also mix and match... or add straight throughs to the same bolt on flanges...
