I am at this point with my downpipes right now. My ECU guy should have a new mapping for me this week and we'll go do some dyno runs to see if it worked.

I dont have the C450 but I installed a new downpipe on my C200 and noticed quite a big difference in the sound... And a little more low end power.. But might just be the sound that made me believe that.. haha

I have Weistec DP installed and AMR stage 2 sounds like a beast now and the power is amazing, I drove home from Connecticut for almost 2 hours with no Radio just enjoying the drive, it's crazy how much the car has changed I took the car to the track that night and ran a 12.2 118mph and I screwed up my take off think I will hit high 11s.

I installed the same one on my C300. if you open the entire airbox (intake box) and get to o-ring clamp easy it's about 1hr.
hard part is to get the old piece out from top (by turbo) bottom is easy

Took only 2 hours keep in mind you will only gain a max of about 5-15hp with the down pipes and with stage 2 only 25 more hp cause our turbos are to small and the max PSI you will get is 20.

12.2 at 115-116 is what flashed cars (AMR stage 1 and OE Tuning) are running from a couple other members. So since you added the downpipes, and ran the same time, similar 60' and basically same trap, they are mainly for sound because the turbos are just maxed out.

5 whp or so sounds about right (but they sound amazing).

I've seen the timeslips for AMR stage 1 and the track video of AMR stage 1 going 12.3 and the posted slip of the member above going 12.2 at 115-116mph.
Seems AMR equipped cars are the only ones putting down good track times and power.

Its not hard at all, I would highly recommend using a lift. Should take 1-2 hours depending on if you've done it before or not. All you have to do is pull air boxes off, pull under tray off, take o2's off, take off all of the clamps, unbolt the bracket on the downpipe and pull it out. Put the new downpipes in and clamp it on the turbo first, then midpipe, then do the bolts on the bracket.
