blue smoke at startup
Howdy, I'm new on the forum. My wife has a 2013 C250 sedan. it has 35000 miles. it was a leased vehicle returned to our local dealer and seems to be in amazing condition. Anyway, when she started it up today, I noticed a good puff of blue smoke initially, I know this is oil. Just wondering if there is something common to this car that could be causing this. I did search and did see something about a banjo bolt? Maybe turbo bearing on the way out? It's under warranty, so I'm no too concerned. but I am a car guy and am curious.
thanks in advance!

there was a service bulletin for the oil supply line to the turbo..
but there were number of service bulletins for it..
I'd go through the engine looking for clues, comp. test being the first, if comp is even and high then its likely intake.. so then blocked breather hoses into the inlet, then i'd be pulling the inlet hoses and throttle body.. to see if or where the oil was being introduced..
its spannering time.. have fun..

No need to check its blue smoke, he is burning oil...
The issue is how much and how is it introduced to the cylinder..
Head, bore or inlet....

Oil it is....I'm not gonna do too much investigating, I was more curious about if this is a common issue with this model car. There is a warranty in place, so Mercedes will be footing the bill. When we bought the car, exhaust tip did have a good amount of black on it, but I figured it just may had not been cleaned in a while. It doesn't get very black I have notice now that I had initially cleaned it. Anyway, thanks for all the info. I'll let you know what Mercedes finds
