Do any of the scattered build dates you have take place in August?

My Sa made a mistake.. the acoustic glass doesn't come with the sound package, I talked to him again and he said it comes with the HUD.

Do you have HUD? If you do that may be why it doesn't list acoustic glass because it's in the HUD package according to my dealer

Give up on the acoustic glass issue! All of the GLCs were suppose to have it. Some did and some did not at delivery. My GLC has it. Another person had one window that was and one that was not. There is no packages to determine the glass. It really depends on what is at the factory and to be honest I have driven cars with both. No difference.

I believe one was august yes.

And what HUD option? It is not tied to any package, your SA is confused because the option only shows up after confirming a build. It is not a selectable option.

It's up to you to decide what you want to believe though.

I have driven both as well - with and without the acoustic glass. No offense, but it makes a difference. I still prefer to getting the one with acoustic glass considering the wind noise issue I experience before getting the glass. Don't want to go back!

I am so confused about your term "sound package". it's the first time I heard this term... And I am confused about what you were talking about.

I have HUD. Did you mean if the car has HUD, it won't have Acoustic glass? This just doesn't make sense at all. It seems to be unrelated.

Forget about what I said about sound package=buminster...What I'm trying to say is that if you have HUD on your order, it won't list code 851 for acoustic glass separately because it's included in the HUD package according to my sales man. The only way to know for sure is if someone has an build sheet in early August without the HUD it should list code 851 under standard components..if you have HUD it will Not list it on the sheet but it will be on the car... so that being said does anyone else here have a build in August without HUD ?

I'm just trying to find out if it's standard on PRE-September builds=especially early August builds because that's what mine is.. and if it's not since there is a hold up I will reorder a different car since I'm waiting anyway

Like I said before, you and your SA are incompetent. Your SA doesn't seem to know the difference between his hand and foot, and you're too quick to spread his bs as fact on these forums. It's driving me nuts

Why are you so mad bro? I'm trying to determine if my build will have acoustic glass since it's not listed on my build sheet as some have it listed and others don't..and I don't trust what my sa is saying thats why I'm here trying to find out..and my build is early in August. So if you have a early build sheeting August without HUD--for c43 sedan-- please post it

If the car is suppose to have acoustic glass as standard equipment and it comes in without it. Talk to your dealer. This happened with the GLC. The dealers replaced the glass. Quit worrying about it.

Just get your dealer to agree to put the glass on for you if it comes without it and shut the **** up about it. Good lord.

So just heard back from my dealer. Car has been built and is sitting at the VPC. They have no idea why its still there but I'm glad people here have gotten better updates.

Gonna get more updates next week but I'm expecting either October or November (worst case).

All the information from numerous dealers seem to point towards a mid-late October release for those of us in the USA and Canada. Hopefully it's sooner than that, but only time will tell.

Yeah that's what I figured. Its still cool to know that it will be on the first truck/train/whatever to here after they officially decide to release it.

I have HUD on my current car as well as on C43 that's on order. But it's the first time that I have heard this "sound package" thing: HUD includes 851 acoustic glass.

Like other people said, if acoustic glass is standard, if our cars do not come with it, simply ask the dealer to retrofit it.

My dealer kinda agrees to "try to" put it on when I said the other cars have it as standard.

I thought a true "AMG" vehicle has the AMG badge on the left, and the model badge would be on the right...


Is that just for the coupe?

The dealer went half way on that car. They got the G dress up ground effects, blacked and changed the badges, but left the door handles and trunk in chrome. Amateur hour!
