Are the new headlight beam patterns electronically adjustable?

So I'm from Australia and so the cars here are RHD and so is the beam pattern for the traffic, opposite to the US.

I know some of the newer cars have an adjustment for beam pattern from the instrument cluster like my CLS.

The question is, does the C250 (maybe C300 in the US) have this feature because I want to buy headlights as I am repairing a car with front damage. The prices on eBay USA are alot cheaper but obviously the headlight will be useless if the beam pattern is wrong and illegal.

Is it now adjustable electronically on the W205?

There are settings to adjust for left and right-hand drive traffic, but I think that's more to do with the ILS aspects. There's also some config possible in Xentry. Keep in mind, the US didn't get full ILS headlights, plus they have that mandated orange light towards the front left/right which is totally different to here. Personally I would look at getting them out of Europe - probably not much price difference compared to paying US$ at the moment.

Thanks for that, so maybe even from the UK because they are RHD or in Germany. How can you tell if a headlight has ILS or not and did ALL the Aussie ones get ILS?

It won't matter if you get them from UK or Europe. The headlight doesn't change. The beam is initially set using standard mounting adjustments and the clever stuff with ILS is done in software.

You need to figure out which headlamps you need. There's quite a few variants - all described nicely here:

The ILS lights will have "LED Intelligent Lighting System" on the inside front of the housing

Looks like there is a part number difference for left and right-hand drive units. Here's some part numbers for left hand drive dynamic headlamps (SA Code 641). Get the VIN of the vehicle and check your SA codes. You'll also need the eight hundred series number to find out if the car has 805, 806 or 808 SA code (YOM XX/X)
