Iphone 7 Bluetooth Issues
Anyone else having Bluetooth problems with IPhone 7? I just upgraded from IPhone 6S (never had problems) to IPhone 7 and the audio will stream for a few minutes then freeze. I have to disable Bluetooth and re enable it in order to connect again. I'm running the latest IOS 10.0.2.
Just trying to figure out if this is a software issue or I have to replace the phone.

I am supposed to be getting an iPhone 7 company phone within the next month. I hope this is just a glitch you are experiencing and not a symptom of the 7 or the latest iOS. My old iPhone 4 with iOS 7.2 works fine for music streaming and telephone functions, but does not work for text messaging or email, and will not connect as a wifi hotspot. I was hoping the 7 would work with all the connectivity features available in COMAND.
Anyone with an Iphone 7 please relate your experience.

Apparently there is a bug related to iphone 7 that is affecting a lot of BMW's (and apparently some Kia's and Hyundai's). Why not Mercedes as well? Here's a link on a Apple Blog regarding it.

It's not uncommon for Apple to tweak something in the BT protocol in a new release that gives the car headaches. Since the car's firmware is so infrequently updated you usually have to wait for subsequent IOS updates to get caught up. Sometimes they never catch up.
I recommend avoiding updates for as long as you can hold out. For a period after a new release, Apple makes available a download of the previous version. If you have a back up of your phone in the previous IOS, restoring that back up to the 7 might work.

Picked up an iPhone 7 to replace a broken iPhone 6. The new phone is dropping the cellular connection and putting the phone into a No Service state intermittently. Anyone else experiencing this? The previous iPhone 6 running IOS9 and 10 worked flawlessly.

When my Bluetooth connection drops it loses both audio and cell. I had the phone replaced and still have the same issue. Guess I'll have to wait for a software fix from apple.

I believe Apple upgraded the BT on the Ip7 due to them taking out the headphone jack. Most likely, you'll need to wait till there is an update from Apple to fix this. In fact, just a couple of days of the IP7 release, I remember there was an update regarding BT for IOS.

i've been having the problem with my C450 and my regular iphone 6s. the phone connects, but then a few minutes later I see it connecting again.. and have to re-authenticate the companion app each time.
I'm thinking it's more about the command interface and not the phones.. it could be the ios 10 protocol for BT as well though.

I read this on an Apple forum and it worked to resolve Bluetooth connectivity issues in my C300 using my iPhone 7.
Delete Bluetooth profiles from phone and car.
Reset network settings on iPhone.
Re-pair phone and car.

Android user, I get the disconnect, reconnect without reason all the time and getting random pauses on Spotify. Thinking switching back to iPhone 7 Plus but sucks to hear that it could be COMMAND that's having issue.

Sounds this this, http://www.theverge.com/2016/10/17/1...r-connectivity, could be the underlying issue if your carrier is Verizon.

Just loaded IOS 10.0.3 and still have issues. Hopefully IOS 10.1 will resolve it.

It seems to have a BIG problem with multiple paired phones in the car at the same time..

Does 10.1 beta bring back the ability to select "groups" of contacts to sync to the car? In 9.xxx you could tell the phone which group of contacts you wanted to sync. I have over 5k contacts, so I created a group called handsfree which contacted only 1k or so contacts. This obviously fits in the car's memory and was much quicker. After the upgrade to 10.xx, the ability to select a specific group of contacts is gone.

I know this is an old thread but for a year, skipping BT audio streaming drove me nuts. My iPhone XS and now my 12pro. My wife’s pixel 4a works perfect. So one day my apple watched battery drained and turned off...while I was driving my 2011 E350 coupe NTG4. Streaming was perfect. Charged the watch and it BT connected back to my phone so two items connected to the iPhone BT. Skipping returned. Powered off the watch and only one BT connection on the phone flawless. Key to BT streaming have only one connection
