Some suggested finding a used one to test drive, or you can rent one out and test drive it as you like for a full day. Thats what I do with any big car purchase I have.

I'm sure if you make a deal with the dealer, they will let you test drive this car - before you take the delivery - to make sure you like the car and everything is OK with it. But I agree with not letting to test drive the brand new AMG cars, unless you agree on the numbers financially and show that you can qualify. You can't really test drive the AMG cars in full force until you break it in cleanly within the break-in period. Because if you don't follow the break-in procedure on the very sensitive AMG cars, the problems can arise that will be voided by warranty.. I personally would only buy AMG car from the dealer, who doesn't allow the test drives...

That's a BS excuse since it can be reset after a purchase.

You cannot electronically reset... the mechanical problems. Simply if you do a hard test drive on the brand new AMG, involving flooring and revving - it can cause costly damages to the brand new AMG car. Watch this video on AMG break in tips and what's involved:

The Honolulu store threw me the keys to a 2018 GLE 63S. I told them I’m not buying it. It’s a very nice store. I bought the C43 coupe instead.

No, but from the wording it sounded like the transmission and other factors where the car learns and tailors to the driver. I was assuming that's what the dealer meant.
