Bad news: so at only a mere 5,000 miles, i had a small rock bounce up, ping the windshield, and send a nice crack halfway across...so i just had it replaced.
Good news: my new windshield is now personally signed by both Benz AND Daimler. Lucky me...

mine had that silly marketing thing on from factory. I'd suggest with all the build and design issues if they were still alive they'd be wanting their names removed.

8 month ownership and I had my windshield replaced 3 times because rock chips, first one was around 1,200 miles.
The last time I replaced a windshield of a non-MB, was like 10 years ago
The 2nd windshield replacement lasted only 15 days.
All windshields are OEM, and I think there are very weak.

C450, GLS 63 and a few other things
Just had the windshield crack from a stone. Always have used Safelite or someone with aftermarket glass, where are you guys getting OEM glass done, a glass place or the dealer?
Any rough numbers on what this will cost? My insurance company doesn't do separate glass coverage, so I'll have my comp deductible.

You should take the Daimler sticker off since the Carl Benz thing is built in.
Personally I like this. When my C350's original peeled, I had it replaced. Some do say different things. Some are large white stickers with Daimler, some are like yours, some just say MERCEDES, and now the Carl Benz thing is built in.

I got a big chip with 900 miles on the car. it's right in the middle of the driver side and i think i'm going cross eyed trying to avoid staring at it.
will replace the windshield soon and get the clearplex protection film installed right away.
have a family friend with a g wagon and he highly recommended it
