Auto start/stop delay
Hi!
Is there a way to delay a few seconds the auto start/stop after the car stops?
In a stop and go traffic, there are moments when you need to stop the car just a second before the car in font starts moving. The start/stop function will stop the engine as soon the car stops, and starts again the engine in less than a second.
In heavy traffic auto start/stop is a great option, but in medium-heavy traffic I'm not sure.
Best regards!

For me it is the brake pedal pressure.
Light pressure just enough so you car won't move will not stop the engine.
You need to press a bit harder beyond that to engage engine stop.

A user configurable delay would be heaven! Alas - it's not to be. I've often thought of the same thing - especially in the diesel the rapid start/stop in crawling traffic can drive you nuts. I always just turn it off now.

Hi!
I try with very light pressure, just enough to stop the car in a parking lot, engine will stop no matter what after car stops.![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Also when parking the engine will stop and start several times, this usually happens when slow parking to prevent hitting the front bumper... people just think this is a manual! they think engine is stalling because I'm not using the clutch correctly... WTF!
best regards!

its been discussed on here endlessly. To the best of my knowledge you can't disable this via the cars own settings. It would need to be coded by a dealer or someone with appropriate equipment.
you can of course disable it in individual mode (agility) but that's more button presses than the single press of the start stop when you get in the car

You can't do it in settings, you have to add a small hardware device that turns it off automatically at every engine start. I have had it for many months, it it has worked flawlessly. It's the Eco Mode Control Interface For W205 from Mid City Engineering - http://www.midcityengineering.com/ It costs a few dollars, but it has been worth every penny.

At least the individual mode (agility) remains selected some hours after the car shut down. But every morning need to be selected again.

There's a bit configuration in the engine module which allows the agility select to either remember for 4 hours, remember permanently, or to default back to Comfort after each ignition cycle. The bit is easy enough to set with Vediamo, but the modules are locked - so unless you have the seed/key algorithm or required files to unlock it you won't be able to write the config change back to the car.

I had my transmission s/w upgraded about two weeks ago. When I got the car back, I noticed that the auto start had a tiny bit of delay before the card stopped... maybe half a second, but more than it had before.
