4 pot sound? (C200/300 etc)
having driven my C200 for nearly 18 months I still find the sound of the engine quite unsettling.
theres something of a warble to it, worried its a knock but I don't get it at idle, only when under load like when setting off from standstill. Worse when cold but not by much.
could be direct injection noise perhaps but it sounds a little diesel like, not that knock or tick from DI but that odd warble you get on a diesel. But of course this is a petrol car.
i don't know if it's normal, I can't seem to get the noise to record.
Theres no rattle noise on a rev down like the wrist pin issue, just on power when setting off. It's audible inside and out.
