Do I Lock In Deals by Submitting Credit App?
Hi Guys,
Today is the end of October. I am not able to take delivery of my new C43 today because MB is buying back my current C300 and there's still paperwork needs to be signed, but the credit application got approved.
Do I lock in deals and rates of October once the credit app is approved? And can I apply applicable discounts in November? Currently, the one payment lease MF is 0.00043 (1%) and normal lease is 0.00123 (3%) for 2017 C43, 12k/36mo. I am a bit worried that in November, the lease rate is going to increase.
My SA initially said I could submit credit app in October and keep the numbers valid for 30 days once approved. But later, he said "everything has to be contracted", so I have to pick it up today or tomorrow to secure the October deal. I am not sure if he was just trying to have me take delivery today to meet his monthly goal. I was trying to help him out though.
Anyway, any experts can help out?
Thanks very much!

When I worked at Honda yes putting in your credit app and having them submit it with the current terms allowed u to lock in those rates and the the next day we knew if the rates got better or worse. But the catch 22 is those new rates wouldn't come out til the afternoon which meant the deal would fall into the new month. Dealers have till noon to get the deal to qualify for the last month and they need all those deals to hit goals from the manufacturer

Also now that we are this close to the end of the year they are going to be trying to get inventory off the books. Rates may be better but iv had best luck buying in December. I got my 2015 w205 c300 in December and got it for just shy of 12k off msrp plus Mercedes had a pull ahead program to get me out of my old lease they covered 4 of my remaining payments
