Navigation/Multimedia Question
Navigation/Multimedia Question
Guys- I've had my 2016 C300 for two days now and have a quick question. I cannot figure out if there's a way to have the Navigation screen on and also display what song is being played. For example, I'm listening to Sirius XM and want to avoid having to go back and forth between NAVI and RADIO to see the artist/song. Is there a way to see this info while the map is on the screen?
on your touchpad, there are 3 touch-sensitive buttons on the bottom.
left button = go back
middle button = current song/track, also gives the option to skip or reverse a track. <---this is what you are looking for.

You can have the media information displayed on the Multifunction Display (between the tach and speedo) while having navigation on the main screen.
The little raised button at the rear of the trackpad will cause a ribbon to pop up on the bottom of the navi screen showing song info and cover art (if available). It also presents forward and back controls. It'll be visible for five seconds or so then it's gone.

So if you read the OP, it's a way to have Nav on but also see song info that's wanted, not how to change tracks.
As one responder says, use the binnacle display for radio/media etc and you can then leave Nav on the main screen.

If I understand the post, ideally he'd like on the navi screen to have the media player split screen or as an overlay. No way to do that, but the little pop up ribbon is pretty close. The ability to change tracks from that screen is an added benefit.
I'm guessing he's aware of the secondary display.
