Just in case there was any doubt about how bad the pirelli p zero run flats are, here is my front left tire.
I was JUST about to order new Michelin Super Sport 4s for these, but on the way home from lunch the TPMS went off and I figured it was temperature or a nail. When I went to check, look at what I found.
the bottom of the picture is the INNER side wall. Total delamination.

with new hankook tires and 5k on them, they are wearing perfect and look brand new still.

did you adjust camber or alignment at all? My fronts, as others have noted before, were wearing more on the outside edges than the inside. Middles were still 2/32 above the wear indicators, probably still 5/32 in the center.

It gets worse!
After the left front total pressure loss, fortunately I only had 150 yards to get home. I didn't drive the car. I did a quick feel and look on the RIGHT front and didn't notice the complete wear that the left front total catastrophic loss hard - but wait.
So, I got all four tires replaced and they said "you know your RIGHT front was also bad" I had a look now that it was off the car and sure enough it had even WORSE problems (note the total radial/metal exposure and inner wall exposure. It's not fully around, only about 15% of the inner tire wall - which is why I hadn't noticed anything. But clearly, it was failed. a quick measurement of the inner tread shows they are at 4/32, so we're below 5/32 but they were about at 5-6/32 when NEW.
Anyway, I know we all had these pirelli run flats on the original 2016 C450 in the usa so I would strongly encourage anyone who still is running these tires at 10K+ to CHECK THEM NOW.
In my opinion this really shouldn't happen like this.
As well, I had JUST had the car in for the 10K service (it was at 11K but still) and then I have driven the car 280 miles since then. The service checkup said NOTHING about tire wear, or this issue which I really can't imagine wasn't evident at the time of the service done.

I put the Pilots on mine, but waited a bit too long and my fronts are shot so I will need to buy them when I return my lease. I wish I did it about 4 months sooner.

Swapped my Pirelli RFTs for Michelin PS4s just after 200 miles on the OEM tires.
The ride is better specially with the right pressure (36F/33R), and will save me a lot of money in the long term as now I have the RFTs ready for lease turn in. The best part is that I get to enjoy the drive for the next three years.

For all those that have gotten new tires.. specifically the PS A/S 3+, what tire pressure did you find is best? I assume it will be different than the pressure recommended from the stock run flats.

I knew that the C450 came with negative camber and understood that would mean quicker tire wear. However I never thought it would mean replace at 11K miles. The tires on my previous car (Infiniti M35x) - Bridgestone Potenza - routinely got 45K miles before I needed to replace. Admittedly they were not runflats. But the M35x was a little over 4,000 pounds while the C450 is about 3,800.
In doing my research on this issue, I looked at www.tirerack.com for reviews on the Conti's. The vast majority of the reviews are complaining about the same sort of tire wear that I am experiencing. And the reviews are spread over both MB and BMW (3 series models). Several from the C300 4-matic. So it is not just an AMG model problem.
The C450 is a fantastic car and I will most definitely keep this car for a long time. If by switching to the Michelin AS3+ I can improve to say 20K miles before replacing, I will consider that to be a success. If I get the same 11K I have gotten on my OEM Conti's - then I am no worse off than I would have been staying with the Conti's. And frankly it will not break my heart to get rid of the amazingly harsh ride I am getting from the Conti runflats. All in all, this will be an interesting experiment.

My front tires are shot at 6500 miles. Backs still looking good. In a dilemma as to whether to put new Pirelli's back on or go with the Michelin's and somehow store the rear's until the lease it up. Actually with all the problems I've had with this car I just want MB to get me out of the lease

If you contact MB of America they will likely replace the tires for free. That's what they did for me (dealership couldn't do anything for me despite having a huge fleet of sprinters with them). I then bought aftermarket wheels and tires and stored the crap the car came with and returned with lease. I ended up saving money in the long run.

Had the same issue on my 2016 C250d 4Matic with standard suspension and 18" Bridgestone Potenza runflats. They got worn on the outside, while the rear tires were fine, with plenty of miles left in them.
