Floor Liner Choice

I am considering Floor liners . Not sure whether to choose Weathertech or Maxliner for winter use . I don't spill stuff but the roads are messy at this time in the Oregon/WA . Any advise?

weathertech all the way.

their stuff is really well made. i've always bought their in-channel window deflectors for all my previous cars (i smoke a lot while driving).

however they did not develop a window visor (in channel) yet for our cars.

Smile Why not MB mats?

Black is black, but owners with light-colored interiors like mine can be sure that MB's own mats will perfectly match their interior. Of course, they fit perfectly, too. I know Weathertech mats are very popular. So far, I have not seen an explanation why they are superior to MB mats. Perhaps it is price; the MB mats were $89 (fronts only). They were immediately available from my dealer (no shipping).

(If you do go with the MB mats, do not cut off the tab that is used to hang the mats from the hanger that they come on. The tab is concealed under the seats and is not visible in use. Then you can use the tab and the hanger to conveniently hang up the mats when your summer mats are in use.)

Compare the two and the differences are quite clear.

The weather tech seem to be more expensive at $189 for front and back. I like having everything matchy matchy so I am picking up the all weathers from mercedes.

Looks like weather tech would be a bit better, sure. But I don't think that they need to be THAT much better unless you're tromping around daily in heavy mud. I can get matts from the dealer for $100 and they will work perfectly well in my harsh Utah winter. Yeah, I'll enjoy that extra $100 in savings and put it into something else for the car.

IMO the MB all-weather mats look great, and they fit like a glove. Some dealerships operate ebay stores where they apparently can sell overstock OEM products. I got mine from here, all 4 mats for under $100: http://www.ebay.com/usr/fjimports1111

Note that if you get the all-weather, they do have a very strong rubber smell when you pull them out of the plastic packaging. I aired mine for a week before putting them in the car. Any residual smell faded within a few days after that.

I failed to specify that I was talking about all-weather mats, too. I already had regular mats.

As having weather techs in my w204s they worked good other than in the winter I feel they are very slippery as I wear dress shoes. Also I noticed they actually leaked snow to the carpets and left very bad salt stains that I could not get out with multiple attempts to clean. I used all the tricks to remove the salt stains. I used these for 3 winters.
Also I remember paying like 150 for weather techs just fronts. And 89 for a full set of MB all seasons fronts and backs
My w205 I have the MB all seasons and I like them better as they have grip for my shoes. And haven't found any issues with salt stains around the edges. This is my 2nd winter with them.

For any of you folks with the weather tech floor liners, I found a MB Decal to replace the WeatherTech decal.

I went with the 3D maxpider floor mats for my 2015 C300. They fit perfectly and have a cushioned liner on the bottom. Cheaper and much better that weather tech. Not slippery and blend in perfectly.

Those do look nice but I do like my weather techs. Only thing I didn’t like about them was the decal on the mats. So when I found replacement decals on EBay I thought I’d share.

MB has their own Floor Liners exactly like the weather tech ones... I have them in my car.
