Something Crazy happened.

For the first time... I took my Start/Stop Engine button out of curiosity... and I found some (very little) water on the bottom of the button. I have no ****ing idea the water came from. The Keyless go continues to work.
Do you guys think the keyless go should be okay without damage?
And where do you guys think the water came from?
Very weird.

That's strange for sure. If everything is working properly then I wouldn't stress about it.

Dry it off as I'm sure you did, then re-check it a few times periodically. If you continue to see water then you can start to panic. Most likely you won't find it again and it's just some random thing.

I had this, it was thin oil not water, I suspect to prevent the button wearing the key lock rapidly.

If it was water, I bet it was just condensation.

Did you experience a rapid warm up from a cold spell lately?

Well now I'm definitely going to be checking mine the next time I get in the car.

Maybe it was an oil... I wiped it off immediately. It was kinda glossy...
So... should I have not wiped it? lol I didn't hear anything about this when I got my car.

lol there are probably hundreds of things you don't know or weren't told about your car. Try not to be obsessive or worry.

It's oil and it's used on all Keyless Go/Keyless-Start start buttons.
