I just did a rudimentary search for a service manual (Bentley, Chilton and Haynes) but came up with zilch. Does anyone have any info on whether a manual is available and if so, where I can get one?

 

Nothing in a paper print 'manual' AFAIK. The info you want is all contained within the Xentry WIS (Workshop Information System). Take a look on Ebay or Google for vendors selling cloned systems. Normally you'll find these combined with the Mercedes multiplexer hardware that allows you workshop level access to the control modules on the car.
