What would be the potential gains on a c450, I assume the tune would be more aggressive? Does it keep the crackle from the exhaust?
Definitely interested, especially at that price.

In general terms going from 93 to 91 will result in a 15-20% loss in advertised gains. Not a huge amount in the grand scheme of things.

Gains themsleves should be near identical to the C400 as the unit is adding a set adjustment above stock on an identical motor. The only difference is the baseline is higher on the 450/C43. The test C43 should be getting the unit soon though so we ma be jumping the gun a bit. Lets see how that plays out first. Also couldnt comment on the crackle as it wasn't something we were paying attention to to be honest.
You can always add in a can of torco or blend a bit of race gas. =)

Crackles shouldnt be gone to begin with a piggyback approach to be honest. Programmed overruns should be unaffected since that base programming isnt altered. Again though, its not something we were paying attention to so maybe Wayne can chime in on that front.

I don't think the c400 has it.

Anyone on the fence about this thing should definitely jump in. Especially if they can do a group buy on it.
I'm running the JB1 which should be similar to the Dinantronics. I'd jump on this one if I didn't have the JB1. I would probably pick this one due to the 1 plug vs 3 plugs and Bluetooth map change vs having to hook up my computer to it. Bonus that it's also cheaper than the JB1.
Anyways the reason for my post is that I recently changed it to map 2 which should be similar to the RACE+ setting on the Dinantronics and it actually made the pops a touch louder.

Well, I'd consider a wArranty at that price. I believe there is a relatively good market for safe, easy and moderate tunes, rather than full bore ones, especially from DINAN.
Come on Mercedes drivers, let's show them we will buy!

A few questions, if you don't mind (sorry if these have been answered, but nothing came up in a search):
How easy/difficult are these to install on a C450? I looked at the install instructions for the 2.0T version but how does the 3.0TT compare? Are the connections buried under other components?
Also, can the dealer tell if one of these units has been previously installed, if it is removed before taking the car in for service?
Interesting that a warrantied version, if there ever is one, might be 5x the price. That implies some risk in these "unwarrantied" units. What is the risk of engine damage from running one of these (assuming street, not track use)?
