Minimum offset to clear brakes on 10" wide wheels in the back
What's up guys,
Spring is here so I'm currently shopping for a set of summer wheels so I wanted to know; Whats the minimum offset in order to clear the rear brakes / caliper on a 10" wheel in the back on a C300 4matic? The reason I'm asking is because I really like the look of concave wheels, except it only becomes really concave when the wheel is at least 10" wide or more, so I was wondering if anybody knows the answer to that. I don't want the back wheels to push too far out and I don't mind a stretch.
Also what wheels are you guys rocking for this summer?
If you could provide pics with wheel size / offset + tire size that would be nice!
Thanks!

Short answer is, it depends on each wheel.
Brake caliper clearance has more to do with the "Disk type" and or spoke design then does the offset.
Flat wheels like the BBS LM will require a different offset than the concave wheel design of say the Volk TE37.

What are your thoughts on fitment on these?

in 20x10 they come with either 33mm or 45mm offset

To make sure you don't get too much poke you will need to go atleast 50 plus on the offset.
I have 20*10 ET 55 with only a tiny bit stretch (285 wide tyres) and that's not super close but close. An ET around 45 will give you some issues for sure.
