C450 Stance
Hey Guys,
Just wanted to get your opinion my the stance of my ride. What are your thoughts, can it be improved or does it look good?
It's time for new tires so I'm going with Michelin Pilot Super Sport's. Do you think 285/30/19's will fit/look good for the rears?
Current Set up;
Lowered with H&R springs
Stance SC5's
19x8.5 245/35/19 45 Offset plus 15mm spacer
19x9.5 275/30/19 48 Offset No spacer
Thanks in advance

Damn I need to get some springs on my car stat! I do wish they dropped the front just a tad lower though...
Rear looks like it could use another 3-5mm pushed out. You have some camber going on back there or is that just the pic?
Cant tell on the front as there's no good pic if it.

Not sure about fitment but you'll love the MPSS. 285s will add 5mm to the inside and outside. If you've got at least that much gap you should be good.,How's the ride on the drop?

Do point out that there is no Front or Rear Camber adjustment to change tire contact angles - only basic Toe OEM !
To compensate for excess negative Camber / premature edge tire wear after altering suspension height (or simply having “ongoing” adjustment capability for wide profile tires, high cambered roads, load carrying or curb knocks) we saw the need to invert / patent single wrench adjuster kits to suit virtually every model Mercedes.
Front Camber and Caster. Rear Camber (and extra Toe to compensate). Providing “precise” adjustment (under load - direct on alignment rack). Also replacing the highest wearing suspension bushings at the same time.
K-MAC Front bushings are mono ball design - 2 axis self aligning without the OEM oil and air voids. Result is significantly improved brake and steering response.
CAMBER - Allows to actually change the tire contact angle resolving costly, premature edge tire wear, improving traction / understeer / oversteer (TOE only adjusts wheel direction)
CASTER - Correctly resolve steering pull, increase steering response. With better turn in and high speed directional control, along with reduced dive / lift under brake and acceleration.
TRACK DAYS - Front can dial in extra negative Camber (and track width) to significantly reduce understeer allowing to go deeper into the corners with increased traction and braking response. Fine tune rear also for maximum traction.
Replacement performance bushings for the 6 multi link rear arms also manufactured. Reduce rear end flex / twitch especially when applying power lane changing / overtaking.

All BS aside, your wheel & tire specialist can tell you about the 285/30s more than I can, but I'll tell you this.
My specialist has stated - instead of 19s that I wanted thinking I can't fit 30-series 20s in the rear (285/25s on my old C63 were killin me!).....he can fit my black C450 with some Gunmetal Axe Wheels' EX12s or EX20s atop 285/30/ZR20s in the rear, after doing the math of course. In fact, if we don't have to go 285/25, why not go 5mm wider?
So, I suspect you'll be OK. And I'm also lowered on H&Rs.
