3D Burmester is optional on the E as well as the S. It adds a subwoofer in the trunk, 6" woofers in the doors, and extra surround speakers mounted on the headliner. The front door tweeters are replaced with illuminated motorized units that rotate outward for no apparent reason but look cool. There is additional amplification vs the standard Burmester. It's a decent step up that's worth about half what they charge for it.
The standard Burmester in the S is actually a decent sounding system, vs the one in the C.
